Job Overview

SHL Medical AG is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Expert Logistics Systems & Processes to join our Global Logistics and Supply Chain organization. This newly created role will oversee global logistics systems and processes, ensuring the seamless physical material flow from SHL’s suppliers to its customers. The selected candidate will serve as the lead expert for SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and drive digitalization and efficiency across global logistics operations. 

In the first phases, a hands-on approach is essential to establish process designs and logistics systems. Over time, the role will focus on global standardization, logistics provider integration, benchmarking services, and improving operational efficiencies. Additionally, the role plays a crucial part in supporting the Swiss manufacturing site go-live and its material flow processes. 

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish & Lead Global Logistics Systems & Processes: Build and develop a global logistics function aligned with SHL’s operational and growth needs. 
  • SAP EWM Expertise: Function as the global lead expert for SAP EWM, overseeing implementation, maintenance, and further system development. 
  • Process Standardization: Develop and enforce global standards to streamline logistics service provider integration, optimize services, and improve efficiency. 
  • Operational Execution: Take an initiative-taking, hands-on approach during the construction and ramp-up phases, ensuring the successful execution of logistics processes. 
  • Continuous Improvement & Digitalization: Enhance logistics digitalization efforts to improve service levels, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain, manufacturing, IT, and external logistics service providers to ensure streamlined operations. 
  • Global Benchmarking & Best Practices: Implement best-in-class logistics processes and benchmark services across geographies. 
  • Support Manufacturing Expansion: Ensure the successful setup and operation of the Swiss manufacturing site’s material flow processes. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across production, testing and QC labs, logistics, and office environments.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 10+ years in logistics, supply chain, or warehousing with a focus on systems and process optimization. 
  • Demonstrated experience in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), including implementation and ongoing optimization. 
  • Strong knowledge of global logistics operations, supplier management, and customer service excellence. 
  • Experience leading complex projects and cross-functional teams in an international, challenging environment. 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a purposeful approach. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. 
  • Fluent in English.

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in intralogistics systems & processes. 
  • Additional language skills in German or Mandarin.
