Testing Engineer

Job Overview

The position of Testing Engineer performs the tasks during product development process on identify and defining the right test equipment to use, developing test fixtures and methods upon the chosen equipment, and test execution for design characterization, assessment and verification activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Planning, design and execution of design assessment and design verification of injection systems based on design input requirement and risk assessments
  • Develop and validate test functional, mechanical and optical test methods
  • Understand, consolidate and define with internal and external partners user requirements specification for semi- and fully-automated test equipment
  • Support in investigations of customer complaints
  • Participate actively to the selection of the external lab and lead this external lab testing

Skills and Qualification

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role for medical products
  • Good knowledge in planning qualification, verification, and validation phases
  • Good knowledge in industrial measurement technology (force, torque, optical, multisensory, CT X-Ray)
  • Good knowledge in statistical data analysis with tools such as Minitab
  • Knowledge of technical drawings (form and position tolerances)
  • Experience in writing test protocols/reports and quality records
  • Open-minded, proactive, persistent, results- and execution-oriented, and able to work under
  • pressure in changing environments
  • Able to travel internationally (up to 10%)
  • Fluent in German and English language, written and spoken
  • Team player and self-starter, able to perform with minimal supervision
