SHL set to engage in drug delivery conference in Taiwan
SHL will participate in the 2019 PDA Drug Delivery of Injectables Conference at the Grand Victoria Hotel in Taipei between November 12-13. Our attendance includes an exhibition and two industry talks delivered by our experts.
As we celebrate our 30th anniversary this year, SHL continues to expand its scope of services, offering comprehensive solutions founded on our strong knowledge base and experience. Now a global company, we launched our business in Taiwan 30 years ago. SHL’s drug delivery systems still proudly bear the “made in Taiwan” hallmark and are offered to customers worldwide.
At our exhibition, SHL will be showcasing our strong pipeline of devices, which includes the pre-configured Molly® variation built for high-volume manufacturing and NIT® – a pre-installed needle mechanism built to eliminate manual attachment for users of cartridge-based autoinjectors. In parallel, SHL will be taking part in several conference sessions.
Director of SHL Connect Markus Bauss will lead several tracks as the official moderator, touching on subjects that emphasize manufacturing and digitalization development in the drug delivery device domain. He has also taken on the role as co-chair of the conference.
Directors from our Automation department – Lucy Chung and Gilbert Fleutsch – will deliver a talk on the essentials of machine building that deliver cost-effectiveness and efficiency in subassembly manufacturing.
Amidst varied discussions in the digital healthcare space, Director of Engineering Solutions Christian Keller and Senior Healthcare Analyst Chelsea Williams will lend their insights on the evolving dynamics of connectivity in drug delivery systems. “Digital technology is definitely creating new possibilities for enhanced services in the drug delivery market. Our current investments demonstrate SHL’s commitment to this technology shift and help us to determine the right solutions that will benefit the patients in the end,” Engineering Solutions Director Christian Keller said.
