Job Overview

The Product Manager is the glue between the business, technical and operations side of an organization. They have a deep understanding of what technology is required to meet the business requirements and how to successfully bring a product to life and manage it through its entire commercial lifecycle. To reach this goal the Product Manager must work closely with commercial, innovation, design and engineering teams on customer needs, product definition and implementation.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain the product’s technical requirements based on customer feedback, regulatory requirements, market trends and business needs.
  • Define and maintain product/platform strategy & roadmap with input from the portfolio strategy & customer solutions team. Act as gate keeper ensuring alignment and necessary trade-offs between customization requests and generic platform design.
  • Manage existing product/platform throughout the whole lifecycle (including platform life cycle plan).
  • Lead cross-function platform lifecycle team and own the platform life cycle backlog.
  • Support business development and account management in the selection of technical solutions for quotations based on customer needs and the performance space of the offering.
  • Work closely with internal cross functional teams, including product development, commercial, sustainability, quality and operations so that product requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
  • Manage product management process house (process manager). This includes the creation of new processes, maintenance of existing ones and retiring outdated ones. Align closely with stakeholders at the interface of these processes.
  • Facilitate creation and maintenance of proper product documentation (product configuration).
  • Coordinate product launch plan with marketing, sales, and development teams.
  • Provide internal and customer training on how to use the product and answer incoming questions about the product and its specifications.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and study competitors’ services and products.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
  • Represent SHL Medical at conferences and support the promotion of existing / new platforms, along with generating and promoting product-specific market-leading knowledge within the industry

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of product and/or project management experience, ideally in the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to coordinate all product related activities with cross-functional teams that include innovation, design, engineering, sales and marketing.
  • Ability to use high quality organizational and project management skills to delegate, set objectives, prioritize and measure progress.
  • Have skills and techniques to negotiate positively for mutual agreement on strategies, roadmap plans and key features.
  • Fluency in English.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical / engineering background.
  • Swedish and/or Mandarin.
