Inventory Analyst

The Inventory Analyst ensures optimal inventory health at the North Charleston site through continuous monitoring and analysis. Key responsibilities include identifying risks (e.g., aging stock, short shelf life), surfacing improvement opportunities, investigating deviations, and conducting root cause analyses. The role also ensures process adherence in inventory transactions at both the 3PL and North Charleston site, supporting high service level targets and balancing quantitative and qualitative inventory management.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze inventory across all categories (raw materials, components, finished goods).
- Identify and report risks such as aging inventory, short shelf life, excess or obsolete stock.
- Highlight deviations from inventory targets and escalate as needed.
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and variances.
- Ensure process adherence and compliance in inventory transactions at 3PL and North Charleston site.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory issues and optimize processes.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in partnership with global supply chain intelligence.
- Provide proactive insights and recommendations to improve inventory health and turnover.
- Maintain data integrity in SAP/EWM, Masterdata, and other inventory management systems.
- Communicate supply constraints and inventory risks promptly to stakeholders.
- Support audit readiness and transaction quality by measuring process compliance and addressing discrepancies.
- Address inventory differences from poor transaction handling; implement measures for process adherence and audit readiness.
- Pay attention to transaction reversals and user inconsistencies in postings, impacting inventory accuracy.
Skills and Qualification
- 3+ years of experience in inventory analysis or supply chain analytics.
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive mindset with attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industries.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to investigate differences in the manufacturing environment but also offsite at a 3PL.
