[ OE ] Principal Engineer – Operations Engineering

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of experts to support the production of our autoinjector systems
  • Promote use of new technologies and industry-leading trends. Provide highest level of technical expertise
  • Collaborate closely with Plant / Production manager, molding, maintenance and automation teams, quality and process development on performance/process improvements and critical event response
  • Lead the development of improvement plans and requirements for capacity expansion and future production systems and processes
  • Lead cross-functional improvement programs and capacity deployment projects in all relevant production areas (Intralogistics, Components, Assembly, Packaging/Printing) – both from a technical as well as from a project management perspective
  • Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and definition of manufacturing requirements for new products and product care initiatives
  • Manage technology transfer (receiver function) of new products and processes into mass production

Your qualification

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Applied Science or similar education/experience
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience, ideally with roles across various functions – e.g. product/process development, production, quality/compliance
  • Experience in at least three of the following areas: product development, process development, quality engineering, injection molding technology, process automation, metrology/sensor technology, process and system V&V, regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge and experience in applying statistical analysis methodologies and tools, Design of Experiments (DoE).
  • Advanced knowledge of common problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies and proven track record in successfully applying these
  • Proven track record in leading and developing a team of highly specialized experts; extensive technical project management experience
  • Previous exposure to a highly regulated industry (medical, pharmaceutical) and knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. ISO13485, cGMP)
  • Experience with commissioning, qualification and validation of large, complex automation equipment and production processes in general (manual and automated)
  • Passionate & committed self-starter with “can do” attitude, team player and taking responsibility to get the job done
  • Intercultural and interdisciplinary communication skills; able to communicate effectively in English (verbal, written)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin is highly desirable
