Job Overview

The Senior SAP Specialist EAM / PP at SHL will facilitate and support the SAP Enterprise Assent Management and Production Planning solutions, as well as surrounded application to enable the relevant business processes to enhance our business functionality. This is a technical leadership role, requiring deep knowledge and understanding of SAP EAM and PP functional and technical capabilities, including industry best practice such as software testing methodologies etc. Solid understanding of the relevant business processes will empower you in the digital enabling of them. In this role you will partner with our business colleagues in the Product Development, Manufacturing and Supply Chain area to analyze and define business requirements, processes and objectives to scope projects and deliverables. The Senior SAP Specialist will be providing comprehensive technical and business procedural advice to our business colleagues and users on long-term and short-term perspectives on their key strategic imperatives and recommends innovations that will anticipate the future directions of both business and our IT internal stakeholders. You will create tactical and strategic roadmaps charting the deployment of SAP SD and MM digital solutions. This position will be a key player in our SHL IT Supply Chain competency center, and you will be an essential part in our growing international internal consulting and application support team. This role will focus on delivering transformation projects as well as daily support and change management.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Technical guidance of the SAP EAM and PP module specialists in the various SHL locations globally (Taiwan, Switzerland) inclusive the surrounded additional applications required to enable the business processes
  • Successfully lead and manage SAP project implementation teams comprising of consulting and internal resources at different business units and sites
  • Successfully create and manage complex enterprise-wide project plans and lead activities to manage scope, dependencies, risks, and schedules for projects in coordination with the business and other involved IT functions
  • Successfully translate conceptually and implementation wise business demand digitally
  • Collaborate closely with the business colleagues from the global process owner organization as part of the global change and demand process within SHL
  • Design and document solution alternatives that align with local business requirements, global template processes, and architectural principles leveraging industry and business best practices
  • Develop functional specifications for configuration and customization which include reports, integrations, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows and implement them together with the team or alone (full customizing responsibility for the modules EAM and PP) matching to the business requirements
  • Participate in transitioning the requirements, functional specifications, and use cases to the developers, and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the knowledge is being transitioned to the users within the business
  • Perform functional acceptance testing execution after development completion
  • Ensure the solution built is scalable to high volume, flexible for future enhancements, and upgradable for next generation solutions
  • Collaborate on innovative solutions to support the future of our landscape at SHL
  • Actively participate in the training and support of the business on the digitalized business processes within the area of responsibility

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Strong professional experience in SAP application consulting for asset management and production planning
  • Many years of experience within the business processes utilizing the SAP EAM and PP module
  • Solid configuration and customization skills of the SAP S4 HANA modules EAM and PP and ideally other modules
  • Solid understanding of the business processes in enterprise asset management and production planning
  • Business fluency in English

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Willingness to learn and adopt SAP C/4 HANA skills as well as surrounding applications
  • Strong conceptual skills, disciplined in documentation, self-organized and outspoken personality
  • Strong M365 usage skills, ideally also LeanIX and Signavio
  • Networking (internal and external), team-working and leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel (20-30%)
