Guided by science-based targets, we cut greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency, a transition to renewable electricity, and other decarbonization measures across our operations and our upstream and downstream value chain. We engage suppliers and customers to drive action, and integrate climate-related risks and opportunities into our business operations.
How we measure success
Our climate strategy is a long-range effort. In 2023, we had our climate targets approved by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).

We strive to embed circular economy principles into every stage of the product lifecycle, designing to minimize environmental impact. Our innovation pipeline prioritizes material efficiency, bio-based and recycled content, and circular readiness. We work with suppliers to expand lower-footprint material options and support customers in achieving their sustainability goals.
Bio-based plastic
In November 2025, SHL Medical obtained ISCC Plus certification across its three Taiwan production sites, enabling the use of certified bio-based and bio-circular polymers in autoinjector manufacturing.
