Exploring large-volume injections in Basel
May 06 2026
Large-volume subcutaneous (LVSC) delivery is drawing more attention as drug-device combination products become more complex and development pathways more interconnected, bringing greater focus to how different delivery platforms, including cartridge-based systems, fit into broader development strategies.
At the Drug-Device Combination Products for Parenteral Use 2026 workshop, taking place on June 9–10 in Basel, Switzerland, the conference agenda will focus on sharing industry perspectives on large-volume delivery, including the role of CDMOs in supporting combination product development.
We will be on-site to discuss how our integrated ecosystem, supported by the Alliance management program, can help development across fill-finish, packaging, and analytical considerations, while enabling early alignment between device design and primary container. Using Maggie, our cartridge-based autoinjector, as an example, we will share how these considerations come together in practice.
The event will also provide an opportunity for visitors to explore our broader portfolio, including Quanta, Molly, and Reunite.
Alex Lyness, PhD, Head of Innovation Strategy and Applied Research at SHL Medical, will join the panel discussion, “High-volume injections – status updates and supply challenges” and deliver a podium presentation on large-volume subcutaneous drug delivery.
Register to connect with SHL Medical representatives in Basel and exchange perspectives on drug-device combination product development.
